A mill on the mountain.
I was always going to buy or build a sawmill. It was one of those absolutes in my mind. So when good friends mentioned their family’s mill was in storage and in unknown repair, it sparks my interest. We agreed to bring it back to life. As it sits, the Peterson ASM swing blade sawmill has been an adventure. A mill ment for industrial use with access to commercial 3-phase power, now runs in the middle of a rural Virginia mountains, capable of producing fast, quality dimension timbers and lumber.
We are aiming for the highest quality possible. Quarter sawn white and red oaks will be my main focus in providing the beautiful medullary rays patterns to your home.
For non furniture grade logs, we will produce green building materials for designed sheds and chicken coops.
